This work draws on primary-source historical documents, including probate records, notarial acts, court minutes, and church registers held in public archives and courthouses in Louisiana. These underlying historical records are not the intellectual property of LS3 Studios LLC. What is protected by copyright is the original selection, translation, arrangement, narrative framing, and analysis of that material as presented in the book and on this Site.
